Congratulations! You are expecting a baby! Whether this is your first, third or final baby, pregnancy is such an exciting time and one that you will want to remember.

Maternity sessions are best done between 30 and 36 weeks. Don’t worry if you are not feeling your best. It’s my job to make you feel and look amazing and I promise you that I will do that for you! Maternity sessions are held in my Coventry studio. Sessions are relaxed and informal.
Don’t worry if you are not used to being in front of the camera you quickly forget the nerves. I want you to embrace and enjoy this experience and while you are at the studio, you will feel slowly become more comfortable in front of the camera. I will give you direction and gently give you posing tips you will feel a million dollars and hopefully that feeling will last for much longer than just the day! It doesn’t matter how nervous expectant mums are, when they leave the studio you will have a newfound confidence and will feel like the beautiful, amazing, powerful woman that is you. You are a wonder. You are creating a miracle. I am in awe of your journey.
What we provide
Not only will we provide a good time, make you feel good and have lot’s of laughs, we have a large selection of beautiful wraps, bodysuits and gowns that we will be able to create beautiful, timeless maternity images. If you would prefer to bring your own clothing that is also fine. The idea is to try and create something simple and timeless that will last for generations and will always make you smile.
Sessions are tailored to your preferences.
When booking your maternity portrait session we will discuss what you would like from the session, and the type of images you would prefer. Some ladies like to be completely covered others like to show off their bump to the fullest and don’t mind tasteful nude shots. All shots are performed in a discreet and tasteful manner and we will only do what you are comfortable with. The aim is for you to walk away with beautiful images for you to remember this special time. We will take our time, the session is relaxed.
I also will take a variety of poses on different backgrounds. I like to incorporate dark backgrounds as well as the more contemporary white/light backgrounds. I think both dark and light backgrounds bring a different ‘feel’ to an image which means I like to make sure I achieve as much from the session as possible by using both!

To reserve your session a fee of £85 is required to secure your date. Images and products are sold separately, see below for some example packages.

You can select any of the following sizes from the classic wall art collection should you prefer all of your images along with quality-assured beautiful products. This includes mounted frames, framed canvas, orb acrylics, our popular multi-aperture frames and wooden blocks.

Products can be seen on display in the studio and the viewing room.
Product credit can also be purchased by families and friends prior to the session (ideal gift at baby showers) or by yourself throughout the time leading up to your session. EXCEPTIONAL
Maxine did newborn shoots for both my children and her images were exceptional. She is one of the best newborn photographers out there and we were very fortunate to have her capture these precious moments in life.

What do I need to bring?
Bring anything along with you that you would like to feature in your images. This can be an ultrasound scan, booties or a special toy.
Very important – Please bring a selection of underwear. Black, white and nude (flesh-coloured). We will be using a selection of dresses, gowns and materials that we will need to use different colour underwear underneath.
If partners or children are going to be featured in the session please do bring a selection of clothing along with you so that we can coordinate outfits. It is better to bring more than not enough.
Bring yourself a picnic or a small snack. It can be hungry work and I would rather you take a little break if needed to have a rest and then we will continue.
What should my partner and children wear?
For the men and boys denim always looks good and is timeless. Chinos also have a classy look to them.
Please no logos! Logos will not look good and are not timeless and no jogging bottoms for men.
The aim is to colour coordinate. You don’t have to stick to the exact same colours but be mindful to stick to the same colour palette. Some ideas can be found just below
