I love, love, love photographing a Maternity photoshoot almost as much as I love the finished results of the images! There’s is something uniquely beautiful and very special about a pregnant women. I can’t help but look on in awe when a Mummy is building a baby. I still find it hard to believe that a baby can grow from a group of tiny cells to a fully grown newborn ball of cuteness. It’s a miracle.
During the last few weeks of pregnancy, most Mum’s can not wait to evict their little miracle from the cosy, warm space of the womb. It can be quite tiring and most Mums will feel less than blooming towards the end. That is why it is a good idea to book your maternity photoshoot between 30 and 35 weeks.
Scheduling maternity session between these weeks of pregnancy is a great time to because you will still be feeling pretty good. You will have energy, the later stages of swelling will hopefully not be a thing around this time and most importantly you should have a substantial, beautiful bump to photograph.
You may be worried that you will be self conscious and you won’t feel comfortable in front of a stranger with a camera even though you would love to capture this important and special time. Please do not worry. I can guarantee you will feel like you have known me years after ten minutes in my company. The studio is warm and inviting as am I.
